Córdoba - part 1

This is our tenth video in the Iberian Peninsula series. This is the first video of our stay in Córdoba.  We enjoyed Córdoba quite a bit, there is a lot to see and the city feels homey. On our way from Madrid we stopped in Consuegra, where you can visit the iconic windmills.  You can take some fabulous pictures of the famous Spanish plains and the “Don Quixote” windmills there. The trip from Madrid to Córdoba without stopping is just over 4 hours. The windmills are on the way to Córdoba and help breakup the car ride. Once we got into town, we immediately went for a night time stroll and had a great dinner. We felt safe walking around the town day and night during our stay.  In this video, you will see some of the old town architecture. In addition we visited the Roman Temple and the Caliphate Baths. Obviously, there is a lot more to see so there will be another video showcasing Córdoba’s lovely sites, ncluding its UNESCO recognized Mezquita Cathedral (a converted Mosque), the Old Quarter, Medina Azahara and its world famous Festival of Patios. I hope you enjoy the video!
