Vale Madrid - Part 2
This is our eighth video in the Iberian Peninsula series. This video is the second part to our Madrid visit. We meet up with four more friend while in Madrid and the city is a great place to explore as a group. In this video, we ate at the world’s oldest restaurant, Sobrino de Botín, established in 1725. We explored the famous and very beautiful Parque de El Retiro. We truly enjoyed walking around Madrid’s many eclectic and interesting neighborhoods. We saw many unique murals and appreciated the way residents decorated their balconies. Of course we continued to partake in the tapas tradition that Madrid is so famous for. Additionally, a trip to Madrid would not be complete without a visit to Europe’s largest palace. The Madrid Palace is truly a majestic place, the opulence is out of control. If you have never been, it is definitely worth a visit. The group also visited the famed Hotel RIU Rooftop Bar and had a bit of excitement walking across the RIU Bar Sky Bridge. And finally we did visit the very ancient Egyptian Temple of DeBod, a site we did not think we would see in Madrid and yet there it was in the heart of the city. I hope you enjoy the video!
