The Alhambra Visit

This is our 14th video in the Iberian Peninsula series. We are visiting the very popular Alhambra. It is a breathtaking palatine city and fortress complex located in Granada, Andalusia, Spain, widely recognized as the pinnacle of medieval Islamic architecture. Originally founded as a small military fortification, it became the grand royal seat of the Nasrid Dynasty, the final Muslim kingdom on the Iberian Peninsula before transitioning into a Christian royal court after the Catholic Reconquista in 1492. Today, it stands as a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its mesmerizing geometric tile work, intricate carved stucco text, and harmonious balance between nature and engineering. This is a must stop when you are in the area and we definitely recommend a tour for this site. You will also need at a minimum, 4 to 5 hours to do this site justice. It is an incredibly picturesque location so come prepared to take lots of pictures with your friends and family. I hope you enjoy the video!
