Segon de Barcelona
This is our fifth video in the Iberian Peninsula series. It is also the second of our two part Barcelona mini series. Barcelona has so many interesting places and things to do that we needed to create two videos. We also have a third covering several Tarragona area sites, which were really day trips from Barcelona. A person could easily spend 5 to 7 days in Barcelona. In this installment we did a walking tour of the city's Gothic Quarters. We highly recommend doing that type of tour because there is so much history and architecture wrapped up in that part of town. We loved exploring the many Roman Ruins that are right there in the Old Town. For instance, the Barcelona City History Museum has the remains of the original Barcino town in its basement, it is simply a spectacular thing to see. In addition, we made the trek to visit the Abbey of Montserrat. We definitely thought it was worth the visit. Not only did we see the Black Madonna but we also enjoyed some excellent art and saw the famous boys' choir perform. I hope you enjoy the video!
